My main aim is to shape the lessons according to what you need: your time availability, your interests and your style of learning. The lessons are given in English.
My methodology is to begin from what you already know, covering Grammar points and vocabulary to apply in real situations from the very first step.
Depending on your level, we can use short dialogues as ready-mades. For example: “At the bus station”, “How to shop”, “A telephone conversation”. Lots of practice surely will help you understand how the language works and apply it in concrete contexts.
With higher level students we emphasize on reading and listening comprehension skills and communicative tasks. The activities include reading short stories and poems as well as listening and understanding the lyrics of folk songs, tangos or Argentinian rock’n roll.
Description
The lessons are one to one, in pairs or in small groups if you want to bring other partners.
They can be in the morning\evening, from Monday to Sunday, usually 2 hours a day.

If you want to experience true Argentinian hospitality “Salta style”, I offer a single room with private bathroom which can be rented for 12 US$ a night.
You may have access to the Kitchen facilities (fridge, microwave oven, oven) as well as the laundry area that is located in a roofed patio next to the kitchen.
General Description
“Spanish4foreigners school and homestay” is located in a flat in downtown Salta, four blocks from the “9 de Julio” main square, the city central plaza.
Our house, in front of Parque “San Martín”, is bordered by one of the main green lungs of the city. This age-old park houses a beautiful lake, surrounded by centenary eucalyptus, palm trees and a rich variety of local trees and flowers. There are also craft and book fairs and important historical monuments.
The Natural Science Museum (Museo de Ciencias Naturales, depending from the National University) is worth a visit.
Besides, it is a nice place for walking, running or cycling in company or on your own. The park trails are connected to the “ciclovía” on Avenida del Bicentenario, a runner and cyclist circuit that crosses most of the town. This circuit leads you to other touristic spots. For example, “San Lorenzo” village.
In our location (470 San Martin Ave) you will be two blocks away from the two pedestrian commecial streets, Alberdi and Florida.
We are also surrounded by churches of gorgeous architectural styles. Around five or six churches are quite near, including our Cathedral that is in front of the main square.

You will have immediate access to the main bus stops just crossing the avenue.
We are less than 10 blocks from Salta Bus Station and only 3 blocks from the Cablecar Terminal, that leads you up to San Bernardo hill, with its Mirador, the best panoramic point in the city.
Nearby, on the same avenue, you can find the colourful and spicy “Mercado San Miguel”, selling from fruit to crafts.
To end up, next to the flat, there is the local Police Station, taking care of everybody.

Extra Activities
If you are staying for more than a week, you can take other activities apart fro Spanish.
The plan may include one of these: Gym / Pilates, Zumba / Tango / Folkdances, Cookery lessons / Pottery lessons, Trekking / Cycling (Bike rental), Horse riding (San Lorenzo). If you want, Patricia may give you contact information.

Or in the weekends, Travel through the enchanting Calchaqui Valleys: La Poma, Cafayate, Cachi (at 2.531 msl), San Carlos, Tolombón, Alemanía or Iruya (2.780 msl), San Antonio de los Cobres, etc.
